Re: Semi-bluff at turn?
If he folds Ax knock your self out. If not its spew.
You played him so you know best whether he would do that. |

With no read, I check-call turn and check-fold river UI, because imo most "unknowns" look us up with big aces here. |
Re: Semi-bluff at turn?
Also. Whenever your J outs are good your 8 outs are good as well.
The fact that you quote you J outs as overcard outs and possible good outs and dont quote the possibility of your "8" outs being good make me think you have issues with counting outs in HU spots and thus hand reading. Not trying to be a dick here. Just saying that when your pair outs are good you mostly have all 6 of them. BTW and as an edit to my first post. This is in general a pretty bad board to make a play on. In higher games I would never make a play here thinking I get called down by as little as K high. |

[/ QUOTE ] I have a lot of trouble balancing these spots against regulars in my game, mostly because there are so many fish that I don't need to worry about balancing. Anything in particular you do to get the frequency of c/r bluffs vs c/r made hands right? |
Re: Semi-bluff at turn?
Oink thx for response and I dont mind if someone told me that I think and do something wrong.
Its why I post my hands to better understand this game |
Re: Semi-bluff at turn?
I dont think you have to worry about that here.
If he calls you down once with A high he will remember that semibluff for ever and you should adjust by not semibluffing. If he folds you should just semibluff and take shots in general untill you see him call you down and then change back to not taking shots/semibluffing From a game theoretic POW balancing is only something that is optimal when villain takes a strategy that makes you indifferent between takings a shot and not. Since most TAGs will either call down or fold indiscriminately with A high, you should just choose the strategy that is best against that strategy. (I hope I make sense) |
Re: Semi-bluff at turn?
Yeah, that last paragraph in particular made lots of sense. I think I mostly have trouble with the 'take shots in general' i.e. semi-bluffing similar spots sometimes but not all the time.
