B&M quality of player over day/night weekday/weekend

I would guess that the quality of player one sees in a casino varies over night / day and weekend / weekday. Is this true? Can someone be a consistent winner on the weekends and a loser during the week?

It's really just so time-and-place dependent. On any given 1 hour period, you could be in any casino at any time and have the right players (i.e. bad) playing at your table. You just never know. If someone is in Vegas and wants to play, he or she is going to play, period. (And there are many reasons to be in Vegas, weekday or weekend, day or night.)

The best thing about playing during really busy times is that you have more selection. If you happen to be at a crap table, move, or go to a different casino with lots of selection.

In my cardroom, there are very definite differences based on time of day and day of week and week of month.

Best time to be there is the first Friday evening of the month. Prepare to stay through Saturday.

I also think there is a huge difference between a tourist place like Vegas or Atlantic City and a regular place like Canterbury in MN where I play or Foxwoods or Casino Arizona.
The tourist place will always have a lot of games no matter what time of week or day it is.
The regular place will most definitely have better/looser games on Weekends and Evenings in particular and tougher/tighter games during the week especially in daytime hours.

In both Los Angeles and Vegas, games are definitely filled with worse players on the weekends.

While I think the games are better on Fri/Sat nights at Casino AZ, I also think the better players come out those nights as well, so it is some of each...

I found that weekdays are the tighter, better players while weekends turns into a fish tank with the weekday regulars raking massive pots and complaining when they get stacked by a one outer on the river by someone who went allin on a draw.

Big big difference. Two years of B&M 1-2 NL data and I'm -6.96/hour from daytime sessions, +$51.77 in evening sessions. I only just realized that my daylight play is the pits, though my nite to day hours ratio is 5 to 1.
