Any decent LCD TV\'s with VGA input?

My son has a PC in his room that's currently using a crappy CRT monitor. He's been angling to get a TV for Xmas, and doesn't have a ton of space, so we've been considering getting one of the 19" LCD's with 1440x900 resolution that have a PC input. Anyone have any experience with these? Do they look awful when using it with a PC? Would we be better off getting a decent monitor and a TV tuner card instead? Thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions.

both are reasonable options.

"tv" monitors are typically larger and have lower resolution than "computer" monitors because:
a) viewers are typically further back
b) there is no need to display much text (eg, compare the amount of text on your screen now compared to whatever is on tv right now)

thus, the further back from the screen you'll typically be, the more likely you should be to getting a dedicated "tv" screen.

thus, the more detail you want to display on it, the more likely you should be to getting a dedicated "computer" monitor.
