Multiway/Weak Boat on Turn/PLO100

$0.5/$1 Pot Limit Omaha Hi
6 players
Converted at weaktight.com

No clue about UTG, BB has seemed a little loose but tight postflop. I also have not won a pot in a while.

I couldn't decide whether or not to make a small flop raise or not.

Stacks:
UTG (<font color="#0000cc">$40.00</font>)
UTG+1 (<font color="#0000cc">$230.05</font>)
CO (<font color="#0000cc">$36.85</font>)
Hero (<font color="#0000cc">$137.55</font>)
SB (<font color="#0000cc">$73.40</font>)
BB (<font color="#0000cc">$143.45</font>)
[UTG posted $1]

Pre-flop: ($2.5, 6 players) Hero is BTN T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG checks, <font color="#777777">2 folds</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $4.5</font>, SB calls $4, BB calls $3.5, UTG calls $3.5

Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($18, 4 players)
SB checks, <font color="#cc0000">BB bets $10</font>, UTG calls $10, Hero calls $10, <font color="#777777">SB folds</font>

Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($48, 3 players)
BB checks, <font color="#cc0000">UTG bets $10</font>, Hero?

should definitely raise this flop

also, no reason to raise now, just flat it

Don't I gain more from not raising the flop? If I'm beat now I might get reraised. By just calling I can keep the pot small and hope to hit against a better hand. I guess what I'm saying is I think that my implied odds on later streets is worth more money than the money I gain from raising now.

I'd raise the flop bet.

Turn is a def a value raise imo. Actually, I'd min raise this (hear me out). The UTG is short and I think we're ahead of both players, the min raise might get BB to come along and still allows UTG to shove for his last 15.5 and still leaves us with two options (call or reraise again).

If BB has nothing, he folds regardless and we still get UTG all in. But if BB comes along, we can extract more value in a side pot if necessary.

I wouldn't be suprised if BB has a weak 5 that hasnt filled up yet.

Crunkin,

Why are you so worried your beat here? If anything, I'd be worried about losing to 677x on this turn but I think its way to nitty to be worried about being behind, especially on the flop. We should look to extract value from hands your ahead of.

You can't really hit against a better hand. If your beat now your drawing to one out (the case 5).

The only better hand out there is 8s full, against which you're drawing dead to runner runner assuming the other guy has the other 5. Raise the flop and find out where you are - if called in both spots you can usually shut down because you would expect someone to be on the overfull, although sometimes people will be exceptionally stubborn and play wraps, though you should usually have a good enough read to say whether any of the other guys in there are bad enough to do that here.

You don't have implied odds, you have reverse implied odds here.

i just like jamming the flop here to get bad players to think their A5xx is good. i think its very transparent to slowcall flop and raise turn. your hand is also vulnerable, protect it.

Re: Multiway/Weak Boat on Turn/PLO100

with 3 thinking players in the pot you have to worry about 88xx. If one of them could be in here with a draw though (and UTG doesn't look very strong) I would probably pop the flop, and as played raise the turn but fold if BB open shoved the river.
