NL 100 I really, really, really want to call this.

No reads on Villain

What plays this way? It looks like he doesn't want a call.
After I show weakness by checking the turn why the overbet push? All it's going to do is scare me away.

Ill-advised IMO. FR players play pretty straight forward on King high flops after a preflop raise. He did call flop with another player to act behind him. If CO folded and BTN flatted, I'd have to think about it harder.

Any significant bet commits on this turn. $30 leaves $40 behind and puts the pot at $125 if you call. Maybe he figures this line is the least believable, which it is. He could also be some donkey "protecting" his KJ or KT here.

Without a read on the limpers I'd check preflop. As played check/fold the turn, although I'm pretty puzzled by his overbet too. Why would he bet so much with 55/44? KQ he'd probably raise preflop. I can't put him on a hand but I'd fold anyway.

^Not raising AQ preflop is so incredibly weak here.

You're quick on the draw! I agree it's important to raise a wide range in the blinds and raising AQ is better than limping IF you have some reads on the limpers. When I just sat down at the table I'd limp preflop until I got some reads. It pisses me off to raise, cbet flop, ch/fold turn and then later find out that the CO is a 70/20 dumba**. But you got a point.

a $20 bet would protect his KJ or K10 here just as well.

Anyways I folded

Re: NL 100 I really, really, really want to call this.

Meh, he open limped CO, I think he would raise KJ/KQ type hands. I mean granted he could have like K8s/K9s, KT, I just think that he also could have 67dd, 78dd, A2dd, A3dd, and he decides to fire the turn w/ his decent combo draw he just picked up, figuring he gets enough folds and when he does get called he is in decent shape. We also could be looking at A5dd, A4dd. As well as 23s. 45s, and 44 and 55.

Of that range, I don't think he is shoving any of the sets of top pair hands on the turn. So after his turn shove I'm putting his range at: 23s, 67s, 78s, A3dd, A2dd, A4dd, A5dd.

Vs that range on this board we have 71% equity

However, since he is unknown, we really can't be absolute bout our ranges, so if we widen that range to include 45, 44, 55, KT, KJ. We can see how things get worse, and this sways it to a fold.

Considering his turn action, I think its close, since that just is so batshit wierd. However, with him being unkown and since we can't for sure exclude his TP type hands and sets/2p hands from his range, I think we have to go ahead and fold this on the turn.
