Why would you check the turn?

Re: NL100:KK OOP 200bbs deep

Checking this turn is so bad.

Well I was trying not to play a huge pot oop with kk on this board here, I'm assuming you think b/f turn is better? Do you think hes less likely to bluff a turn bet?

i would bet alot of money that the "good reg" is terrible

bet turn regardless

he has 78 on the river

Re: NL100:KK OOP 200bbs deep

There's no reason to think he would bluff raise over a turn bet with the info you posted, so yes, b/f is much better.

If you are really scared of a turn raise after betting the flop, consider checking the flop and betting the turn if he checks behind.

So if I bet turn and am called, is river a c/f to any diamond 7 4?

Re: NL100:KK OOP 200bbs deep

I'd probably b/f any river as well.

But the flip side is that you give a free card on a draw-heavy board when you likely have the best hand. If you bet close to pot on the turn, a "good, thinking player" will understand that he doesn't have correct odds to chase his draw and fold.

As played, fold the river - this is 78 like 90% of the time.
