i think the turn is a fine place to 3bet BB, why just call?

My first instinct is villain is semi-bluffing the spade flush draw.

If this is true - You're not making any money on the river, and you are allowing him to fire another bluff to further make things difficult.

Hands you're behind are 7x, which i say is unlikely, even mathematically, but possible, if so, such is life, especially if its 57, or if x = bigger kicker like A.

Next, your behind 36 or 68. Is it possible for BB to have this? hell yeah.

Next pocket 5's and 4's. Another possiblity.

No raise pre-flop could very likely be something like that right?

With no reads, i dont know. I'd 3-bet and fold to further agression. I realize 3-betting basically puts you all in, and maybe other people disagree with this, but i think you have to 3-bet a full 36 but can get away with something between 28-32.

With no reads, i'd be less inclined to push as well.

Mehhhhhhhh Im thinking b/f river here. Or c/c. I think c/c will get us enough value and we wont be folding the better hand whereas we very well could with b/f

if i 3 bet the turn... im not getting away from the hand even faced with a shove over the top... the more i look at it though... i think that i should have 3 bet the turn to 35ish

i dont know, maybe this is improper, but in this single situation, i'd say if you 3-bet and are just called, river brings a king and he bets out again, its the same as being rereraised allin on the turn, so you'd fold.

In response to EMc though:

If you c/c, what if he's allin on the river? Or say he just bets the pot?

You're basically in the same situation as if you 3-bet and he either
A) checks to you so you can gladly check it down and take the pot
B) re-re-raises, or bets the pot on the river or some other large number.

i took the weak road hoping to see a cheap showdown... he shoved for $37 on a K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] river
