$5.50 Endgame review

The bubble broke immediately before this hand. The big stack is a donk maniac who has hit some lucky hands late (eg pushed J2o on the bubble and sucked out on AKs, then won a race to break the bubble). The other small stack is an OK player that I've seen before, who has a mildly positive (+5%) ROI over a few hundred games. Could I have done things differently here, or was I pretty much resigned to 3rd?

This one is probably the one I regret not calling while looking back:

I'm not thrilled here but I think I have no choice but to move in and hope BB is weak and might possibly fold, or I'll get lucky:

I think I push hand #1 (T7). Even though BB seems to be loose, blinds are very high and you are very short. Once button folds, I'd shove pretty much any 2 and T7 is definitely good enough.

I push T7 in the first hand. I wonder what SNGPT says about it, but in practice i'm pushing that one all day.

Also, i don't think i like calling with the Q7o. Even though he's pushing really wide (as he should be), even if we beat his range we are barely beating his range and we aren't that bad off folding. I'd rather be pushing and have some fold equity. We know Big stack is pushing wide but none of these hands show him calling wide, so we may still have that.

I agree with pushing the first hand. It's not even close - your M=3 after posting the SB, the hand doesn't even matter here. T7o is not that bad a hand actually. Then the rest would have played differently.

I wouldn't call that Q7 either.

In all these hands I thing you should be pushing ATC when it's folded to you in SB. BB won't call you lightly, since he's same stack as you are, but the big stack very well may look you up with a wide range.

Thanks for your responses. While he isn't seen calling wide here, you'll have to take my word that he had been. I felt almost certain that a push with T7 was going to be called and that id be giving away 2nd place to a shorter stack. Looking back now i think i should have gone for it. My lead over 3rd was negligible and i probably had 2 live cards.

I hate pushing the first one. T7 doesn't even beat a random hand and at best, he's folding stuff it does beat. Fold and push ATC next hand. I don't mind the call with Q7. You could wait for aces, but...

Re: $5.50 Endgame review

1)Fold T7 based on our read. Thin at best and probably -EV.
2)Fold Q7, could chance his range has tightened up some & it would probably have to be close to ATC to call, but even then you are only ahead half of the time.

Looks good.
