Why check the turn unles you're planning on c/r'ing? I guess calling would be OK, but I think you're ahead here.

I checked because he raised me on the flop and didnt want to donk/fold. I figure his range is wider if I let him bet than if I was to donk into him.

I can't imagine him raising the turn with worse than TPTK. Your hand isn't strong enough for c/r. C/c is the way too RIO town. Your hand if to strong for c/f. That leaves b/f as the best of all lousy options.

Or openfolding the turn is also possible of course [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

If I c/c flop I felt like I might as well c/r because by that point I have a ton of money in there, maybe this thinking is wrong though? As far as b/f, I think the same applies.

Looks like a very easy muck, with those stats he's not raising flop/potting turn with a worse hand like ever.

Out of position against a normally passive player who all of a sudden wants to play a big pot, I feel fairly comfortable check/folding to his near-pot-size bet on the turn.

I'm not saying that's impossible, just that a passive player would much rather call down with those holdings. Especially given that you raised preflop, you really have to discount those holdings given his action on the flop + turn. When passive players get frisky, I've found that giving them credit is usually the best play.

With this logic of c/f turn, I might as well fold to his flop raise then since Im drawing to 3 outs effectively. That seems a little weak to say the least obviously, which is why I think the turn is confusing.
