This game played like a higher limit… the action was great, but the players were relatively inexperienced and called large bets while drawing to hands that couldn't win (most of the time).

buy-in $100 to $300 I bought in full. In a short period of time, I was up to about $550.

UTG calls 2
UTG+1 raises to 15
MP2 calls 15
Hero calls 15 w/ Jh/9h
CO calls 15
Button raises to 30
SB calls 30
BB folds
everyone else calls 30


Flop 6d/9c/9s.

It was checked to me and I bet out $100 into this $211 pot. The player to my left folded and the button woke up and raised all-in for a total of $325. The SB called for $225 and was all-in now.

What to do? $225 call or fold???

um... ain't i drawing dead to JJ and A9.... or at least 6.5:1 for a chop


the small blind cold called preflop then check called his whole stack of 225 postflop with just 30 invested... doesn't that stink of a trap???? i'm obviously NOT worried about the button that much here.... 4:1 odds are OK to call him cuz i'm about 18% to draw out and i could live with that math.

also think of putting in 225 more with just the chance of winning a 100 sidepot which IMO is very -EV (-25 at least cuz half the time he has 66 and half the time he has AA)

Whenever I see this spot playing live, they both have PPs and BTNs is higher.

i said JJ AND A9... both hands.... where there's no 9's left... and if i hit the case jack.... it's jacks full vs my 9's full....w/ no redraw...... drawing dead to a chop!!!
