I've been with my girlfriend for seven months. Sex is great, but there's one thing that always makes me uneasy.

The hair on my head is dark brown, but my pubic hair seems to be turning ginger.

Only the edges and the top of my pubic hair are still brown. Four years ago I dyed them blonde for a laugh, and they turned ginger. They did go back to brown – but is this what's causing the ginger now?

I'm so worried – is there any way I can restore their natural colour?

This is nothing to do with what you did four years ago.

The fact is that a lot of people develop gingery pubic hair. This is normal and due to genetic influences, and most people wouldn't be worried about it. I'm not quite clear about why you are so concerned.

Anyway, there's nothing much you can do unless you want to go to the lengths of having your pubes dyed. Please don't try this yourself!

If you want to go for it, approach a beauty salon.
