NLTRN Playing big aces OOP

I run into this problem a lot. I really really suck at playing big aces oop ($5-10). Against a guy who limps every hand or raises a huge range, I try to raise 3bet AT+ OTB but it sucks total ass when I miss. What's a GENERALLY good approach to playing these hands? How do you play it against different types of opponents? Of course the trouble is mostly when I brick the flop, which is most of the time of course. What makes it 10x harder is when the effective stacks are somewhat short.

I am a SNG player so it's a bit different. Aagaint people who will fold missed flops I would 3 bet and cBet the flop. Against loose post flop players I would just CC A10/AJ and figure you can still get paid if you hit.

Position matters less as the effective stacks get shorter. I would definitely raise AT/AJ OOP when limped to and short stacked, just make sure you're not committing too much into the pot preflop, that's usually a recipe for disaster if you miss and don't have a draw.
