Bars open extra hour Saturday?
 

Does anyone know if the bars are open for an extra hour Saturday Night since we are pushing back the clocks?

Not in Ontario, I've never been anywhere else when the clocks changed. I'd imagine anywhere that the bars close at 2 wouldn't get an extra hour but places where the bars don't close to 3 might. This kinda [censored] is probably on google if you look for 5 minutes.

Someone once told me that the time change officially takes place at 2:01am so that bars can't stay open (because they'd have to close then open again). But this was a drunken conversation and I never cared to actually check. I'm guessing it wasn't true, but it sounds like something you can tell people to convince them you know [censored].

I went to school in a city where bars didn't close. It must suck to have these problems.

I remember being told that the clocks do change at 2am, however, I was never told that it had anything to do w/ bars/alcohol. Although considering many of the other idiotic laws regarding alcohol and its sales I would think that there would be a high probability that its true that they decided to change time after the bars close

Seriously. I think going to school here has skewed my perception of this. Bars closing at 2 is so foreign to me it's ridiculous. I mean, what do you do the rest of the night?

When I first moved up here to Philly I got in a huge argument with a bartender about last call. As if it wasn't bad enough that the bars here close at 2, they all feel the need to last call 30-45min early.

I miss Tulane.
