Stars NL FR table selection (Micros)

How useful are the lobby stats of avg pot, plyrs/pot, h/r in table selection in the Stars NL FR micros?

Although players and, therefore, tables change quickly, I definitely try to table select. No since playing TAG at a very tight table when you can profit more by playing TAG at a looser one.

Id say its best to sit at the looser tables but things do change fast so be prepared to chop and change.

Generally I look for favourable conditions such as -
- A total spewtard anywhere on the table
- Loose players (esp to my right)
- Preferably few "regs" or solid tags
- Preferably few "good" shortstacks
- Nits to my immeadiate left or right, handing me blinds & position.

In short I dont worry too much about lobby stats (apart from picking the highest VPIP), I judge tables after a few orbits.

hugely useful. You could make a living at the smaller limits just tracking down and stacking maniacs. Avg pot size is the only way to find them.

As others already stated, the fluctuation of players makes average pot size pretty irrelevant stat. That figure also seems rather heavily biased by the most recent pots, so all it tells me is that players will felt big hands. Like that was a surprise...

I choose my tables on players/flop value and try to stay the **** away from tables where the figure is less than ~25%. With three or even four players per most flops, I'm getting paid on my bigger hands way better. And if I get even a decent position, it's still possible to steal.
