400: QQ

Quick checkup cause Im running bad. Main villain here has tagfishish stats. 23/6/2 over like 900 hands and is a little on the passive side.

We played a hand similar to this earlier were he 3 bet a MP raise from CO and I cold called from button with AKs. Flop was like K J x and I called his cbet and we checked down a scary turn and river and I won against his QQ.

Original raiser is a 46/17 donk if that matters

I like checking the river also, he won't fold hands that beat you (AA/KK) but probably will fold AK.

Jacks might call but Aces and Kings are twice as likely, probably more with a passive villain.

I def like checking to induce a bluff. But he is so passive he probably won't bite anyway. For some reason I'm thinking he played AA or KK really passively here.

I don't think you are getting any value out of betting (he's not calling anything you beat except MAYBE JJ. And you lose less when beat by checking, with the added bonus of inducing a bluff.

how the [censored] can you keep track of table history playin 12 tables??

I think that passives tend to bet the river for bluffs out of desparation where as on the turn and flop they are still in their "lets see another card for cheap" mode. I only know this cause i have vauge recolection of how i used to think when i was a huge fish.

summation-chk cause all these a holes love to bluff the river.

Re: 400: QQ

When you call 46 from the sb I would not feel so great about my hand if I was him. I don't think hes betting this river unless he has JJ+. I don't think he'd bluff on the end enough to make checking worth it, so I would just bet 100-150 to try to get payed by other middle PP and TP hands that he could possibly have here. On the other hand I would probably have to fold to a push on the end if raised which sucks cause half your stack is in at that point.

checking/calling river is infinitely better than betting it

half of those don't have a club, and GM's coldcall reraise OOP range is pretty tight

so playing AA/KK no club passive to see a brick come off seems wise

yes i agree checking > betting. let him bluff a missed draw.

yes, checking is better than betting.

however, i don't understand how cold calling 3/bets with QQ and AKs are winning plays, especially from the blinds (and especially for AKs). In these aggressive games, where people are 3/betting lighter, you're putting in a lot of money for a drawing hand that you can't continue with if you don't hit.
