Haha.
Is this 88Fingers?
No idea when it comes out, as I left my job there a few months ago. The answer is probably somewhere in the area of 'when it's ready', though.

;P

barry likes to talk a lot. wouldnt it take much longer for this legislation if it even happens to take effect? The UIGEA too like 7 months before it was going to be enforced.

I greatly appreciate what Barry and company have done to get the attention of our members of Congress, and I hope that Barry continues his efforts. However, I think that he speaks a bit too optimistically when he talks about the UIGEA being overturned within 6 months. Remember that various bills banning Internet gambling were kicked around Congress for years before the UIGEA was passed.

IMO, Barry is counting on a lot of WTO pressure from Antiqua IP sanctions and projected compensation to EU. IMO if Antiqua is granted its requested IP sanction (50%), then Congress will swiflty repeal the UIGEA and exempt online gambling from the Wire Act. If not then the legislative process will take into 2009 at minimum. Of course, court litigation, like the iMEGA case, could change things in a hurry. The rest of the year will be as interesting as last year. You may not like the Bush administration, but at least it has not been boring.

One of the last items in this article says that other poker sites may be planning on returning to the US market soon. Does anyone have any info on what sites they may be? Are we looking at the possibility of Party coming back in the near future?
