Chances of hitting BBJ
 

I was wondering what the chances are of winning a BBJ? Both a table share and the winner/lossers share? Qualifications are Aces full of Jacks beaten by Quads or better, both cards must play, $20 in the pot, 5 players min.

Assuming I play 15 hrs/ week at B & M.

I have also been offered a deal on occasion. Go in with another buddy (s). If he wins table share he gives me $200 and if I win I give him $200. Either of us win the winners/loosers share then we would give the other person 1k.

How much does adding another person like this increase the odds?

Would you take this deal to increase your odds?

My "guesstimates" for your particular BBJ:
1)1 in 123,000 hands for an individual badbeat; about 1 in 20,000 hands for a share in a table of 6 (just divide 123,000 by number of players)
2) If you each always play separate tables, it would double your chances
3) The deal doubles your odds of geting something but decreases your return a little
4)I would take the deal because winning even a small piece of the BBJ is fun so lets up the chances.

I based the numbers on data from the wizardofodds.com site. The chances of a badbeat with Full house, aces full of J's or higher in typical the typical BBJ is 0.0000204 when playing all eligible hands to showdwon. But only about 40% maximum of these hands see a showdwon yielding a prob. of .000008. This estimate could be could be even lower dependng on the specific rules of the BBJ and if the actual percentage of eligible hands reaching showdown is lower
than 40%. I haven't seen a reliable figure on this.
