New to PLO, not doing good (2 HH\'s)

Less than 10 hours of PLO, so I don't know if my results (down $5 at this level with 270 hands played) so far are bad play, bad luck, small sample, or all of the above.

(Villian is same guy both hands, raised so many times preflop is why I limp/reraised hand 2 preflop)

lmao, is this .01/.02. Don't know if you can really tell much from this game but you didn't do anything wrong.

In general, if you are going to be 3betting with AAXX preflop, make sure you 3bet with other hands too (such as KKQJ, JT98, etc). You also want to be 3betting in position. A limp/reraise is ok if you can get a lot of your stack in preflop or have a lot of fold equity.

Hand 1: I would usually reraise the pot preflop. Double suited aces is one of the best hands preflop. Just keep in mind that your opponent will probably put you on AAXX. If you hit the flop hard (like this flop) you can get most of your stack in on the flop.

Hand 2: Be careful about playing AAXX out of position. If villain 3bet's preflop often, just raise the standard amount preflop and then come over the top if he 3 bets you.

The problem with Hand 2 is that you can only get ~10-15% of your stack in preflop and your opponents will probably put you on AAXX. Now you have to act first on all streets. You are lucky you hit a good flop.

hand 1 reraise pf. pot flop. pot turn.
hand 2 looks fine.

You think it's good here to limp/reraise pot preflop (with marked AAXX) oop, with only 10-15% of your stack in the middle, against probably at least 2 callers?

Read hand 1 again. hero is in mp2. Original raiser is utg. Why not take the button with AA ds?

I was talking about hand 2. If you read my first post, I say that we should 3bet AAXXds preflop in hand 1.

Hand 2 was fine because 10-15% isnt so much that he has to commit on every flop. The bad range in my mind is 20 - 35%. Once hero has only 2 callers, the flop and turn play themselves.

OK... sounds fine.

I guess my default play is to play this hand more passively oop preflop unless I can get a lot more in preflop. Maybe this is a leak.
