Nicest Clubhouses You Have Been In

Dont know if this has been covered yet in here if so I apologise.

Ill be greedy and choose 3.

1. Loch Lomond Golf Club, Scotland. Probably the most beautiful building I have ever even step foot in never mind it being a golf clubouse. Oak panelled walls, fine artwork, huge stone fireplaces and superb furnishings. Its known as Rhossdu House.

2. Capilano Golf Club, Vancouver, BC
This is pretty much the ultimate in a clubhouse for the men. It has everything you would want. An excellent resteraunt overlooking the course, a huge card room where games of rummy, bridge and occasionally poker run with a massive plasma, a private 19th hole honesty bar which is situated at the back of the mens locker rooms (really cool bar with 5 or 6 draft beers) and each member of the club gets their own whiskey locker to keep a bottle of whiskey in and drink at their own pace.

3. Machrihanish Golf Club, Campbelltown, Scotland

Hidden gem of a golf course designed by Old Tom Morris which has one of the most famous starting holes in golf. The clubhouse is not much of a building but inside probably the best atmosphere in golf. Everyone is made to feel welcome and the fresh seafood is excellent (lobster is caught on the morning of the day you play) and the views over the atlantic are pretty much ideal.

No pics but vividly remember being inside the clubhouse at The Farms(in Rancho Santa Fe) about 10 years ago, was very nice and large.

Was at Sherwood CC about 6 years ago, and only saw a little of the inside, but the locker room was cool and actually opens up onto the half dome shaped patio you see in all the pictures, we had dinner out there, and it was very good.

Honorable mention, for view. I haven't been there this year but the clubhouse, specifically the dining room at Palos Verdes CC has(had, they did some reconstruction and I assume its still the same) an incredible view northward from the South Bay thru LA and to Malibu because you are above the tree line and on a clear day its awesome. Also, Ive never been out of the country for golf and dont travel too much away from Southern Cali.

Yeah, they had a oriental rug when I walked in... probably worth as much as my house. The art on the walls... tens of thousands each I'm sure.... lockers are teakwood.... a true American Castle.
