I'd bet the turn. Dunno why you'd possibly bet the river if you checked the turn.

Re: Check behind turn?

iso raising preflop is very marginal, but I hope you have at least a little info on UTG1 before you do that.

I think bet/folding the the turn is best. The pot is pretty big and he usually will have a lot of outs. If he can c/r semi-bluff or bluff the turn that is pretty ballsy, and I don't think that happens often enough to call down.

Your river bet is really really bad as played.

[/ QUOTE ]I think the turn check is fine. If he has AK he is c/r you. If he has a pp he is likely folding. But, with a check behind you can induce a bluff on the river or you can get a river call if he checks and you bet. However, if he will call you down with lots of hands then you should bet the turn. The downside to checking is that you may be giving him a free draw. But, he is likely drawing to very few outs.

When the A comes off I think you must check the river. With a A,K,Q on the board he is not very likely to call you with anything that you can beat.

I donīt think my river bet is that bad, because a pair of queens are the nuts on the river.

If i check behind the turn i have 5 outs to beat AK. If i bet and he raises i have to fold.

acutally thinking aobut it more, the only hands that really want a free card are AJ/AT/A7 assuming his 3betting range is pretty normal. maybe check is good

Re: Check behind turn?

Against a tricky player I'd rather check turn call river than bet/fold turn check river.

I also disagree that the river bet is bad. Given the action I would guess that hero has the best hand almost always and will be looked up by lower pp's.

Off course he might c/r Ax here but most players would just bet out such a hand given the turn action

Re: Check behind turn?

I think he would bet the river with a K or A after the flop and turn action.

question is what would he call with on the river that you beat

88-JJ

hero's hand looks like something that those hands beat.

But it really depends. Good thinking players will prolly go for a river c/r. Against a good player I am not sure I bet. Against a straightforward TAG I valuebet and expect to see 88-JJ 100% when he calls
