Hero?

I hit the flop pretty big. Now betting/protecting or just checking it down?

What about a push? Checking down you may you loose against a flush, or an Ace on turn and river.

IF I bet itīs a push obv.

Question is: is pushing and potentially getting called by a draw/better hand better than checking it down?

i would certainly push this flop - you hit it. no reason to check it down. get those chips to add to your stack. You want him to call you down w/ a flush draw...

Reads on the button? I think I'm folding if he's been tight. As played I'm definitely pushing on the flop.

Here is the thing:

If you push, do you think he folds his flush draw? 50/50?
Second, if you check it down and he does in fact hit a flush, do you have any doubt he is not going to bet into you?
No need to be nice here, I make him pay to see the next card.

Deffinately gotta make him pay.
Shoving seems like the best decision here.

I usually bet at the dry side pot here.

I think if you intended to check it down when flopping TP with another 4.5k stack who called 1k cold you should hav e just mucked preflop, as your money is as good as dead/donation (especially considering you could be drawing slim vs an AK/KK/AA of the initial pusher who only shoved 2.5 bb)

I think Scotty nailed it. If you're not betting that flop, why'd you call in the first place?
