Foxwoods Stud Question

I tried the search function and have emailed this question to Foxwoods, both to no avail.

What are the stakes, bring-in, antes, betting structure etc. of the 7CS game(s) at Foxwoods? I have only played LLHE in the past.

Thanks in advance,
Joe

Re: Foxwoods Stud Question

When I played, I played $10-$20 with a $1 ante and a $3 bring in as well as $20-$40 with a $3 ante and a $10? bring-in.

Re: Foxwoods Stud Question

I know they run small games as well- there IS a $1-$5 spread game with a 50 cent ante adn a $5-$10 as well

Re: Foxwoods Stud Question

Think you said just starting in stud -- play the $1-5 with .50 ante if so, great game lots of action due to ridiculous over ante. If ur at a dull table, switch. 5-10 generally bad, tight dull. 10-20 can be better -- or the same. Haven't played higher.

Re: Foxwoods Stud Question

Doesn't 5/10 at Foxwoods have a $1 ante ? If so, that's a better structure (20% as opposed to 10%) than the AC (Taj, Trop) 5/10 games. I'm surprised that they're that tight.

Re: Foxwoods Stud Question

20/40: $3 ante $5 BI
30/60 (same as online) $5 ante $10 BI
75/150: $15 ante $25 BI

never played lower than that so I dont know.

Re: Foxwoods Stud Question

Any idea what the rake structure is?

P.S. I still have not gotten a reply from Foxwoods regarding all this. So much for customer service. I hope Mohegan Sun's poker room forces Foxwoods to do a better job.

Re: Foxwoods Stud Question

I've played all of these except the first one:

$1-3 spread, $.50 ante, $1 force
$1-5 spread, $.50 ante, $1 force
$5/10 fixed, $.50 ante, $2 force
$10/20 fixed, $1 ante, $3 force
$20/40 fixed, $3 ante, $5 force
$75/150 fixed, $15 ante, $25 force

I think that they also offer $40/80 with a $5 ante and $10 force. It used to be that one of of the big rooms in Vegas had $40/80 with a $5 ante and the other had $40/80 with a $10 ante. Really, $5 is too low and $10 is too high. Better to play $50/100 with a $10 ante and $15 force. $30/60 is too close to $20/40.

$20/40 and below have a rake capped at $4. I think at $20/40 the rake is maxed out at $80. They take a rake on an ante steal. At a full $20/40 game, you have $24 in antes and a $5 bring-in for a $29 initial pot. They drop $2 if someone buys it.

If you want to play higher than $75/150--and who doesn't--they'll spread about anything.

Rumors of a new Mohegan Sun poker room have persisted ever since they closed the old room.

Re: Foxwoods Stud Question

Thanks Andy for the info, greatly appreciated.

As far as the poker room at Mohegan in concerned this is cut from their website. "But Casino of the Wind is not just about dining. The new space will offer close to 45,000 square feet of gaming including approximately 20 table games, 825 slot machines and a 42 table Poker Room . Casino of the Wind is slated to open in the summer of 2008."

More information about the whole project can be found here.
