BB is a winning regular who knows me as a TAG. Should I fire a c-bet anyways?

Re: [22$] QQ vs. Regualr

I prolly call the turn.
This might be a lower pocket pretty often.
And I also think cbet is senseless here.
If he limp/calls KJ, he is not gonna fold now.

Re: [22$] QQ vs. Regualr

Its a pretty weak bet, and I would think most winning regs are repopping AA/KK here which would check the flop, do you think he wold be leading AK when he fills? What range would he put you on? JJ+?

I think you can call turn getting over 3-1 and fold to big river agresson, he might just be trying to exploit your flop check and take the t400 for a good price. Checking the flop is a good idea because it gets him to make this play with hands you are ahead of, otherwise you fold the hands with 2 outs and pay the hands that hit their 3/6 outs.

The limper folded - we're against the BB. (Does that widen his range?)

I c-bet the flop every time. He doesn't know we didn't flop our ace. It makes the turn decision pretty easy if you do that.

Cbetting on the flop here here is pretty bad.

I call the turn and reevaluate on river.

i dont think its that bad, simply because this is one of those situations where you have a PP, and the 2 worst (and only) overcards in the deck roll off against a player with a likely tight pf calling range. by cbetting flop you either take it down or shut down, always, and the decision doesn't get more complex. It's a situation where I'm willing to turn QQ into a bluff bc he always folds without an ace and he rarely floats, so our cards have lost a lot of hand strength on this board and we can narrow a lot of villains action just based on the read of being a reg. i don't mind checking the flop either of course, I check here a lot but this is a situation where betting flop isnt awful just bc it always plays out cleanly and i dont think you have to worry about getting bluffed.

edit: as played im dumb and didnt see the ace paired, call turn for sure as played.

Why is cbetting the flop so bad? Don't we get Kx hands to fold a lot of the time?

Re: [22$] QQ vs. Regualr

But why would you put in a cbet which can't win any extra money when you can just call one small bet/fold afterwards with the other line plus get value from worse hands sometimes hereby?
I don't understand.

Someone who limpcalls with Kx is not folding!

Re: [22$] QQ vs. Regualr

Villain didn't limp/call - the limper folded. Villain is the BB who called preflop.

I think someone who calls with KJ, KQ, etc. out of the BB will shut down with an A on the flop. AMT put it well - cbetting the flop tells you exactly where you are, making the hand easy.
