5/10; double barrel or not, call river w/ ace high?

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1618537

Villain is a super LAP at 67.9/26.4/1.04 over 75 hands. He just won a gigantic pot flopping two pair w/ J9s (calling 3 cold) against my TP w/ NF and another top pair.

Is this a good spot for a turn value check? Flop call means any pair, any draw. Turn is a relatively safe card for A-high. He's passive and doubt he'd c/r w/o a pair or JQ, but I don't know.

I decide to check instead of double barreling, bad?

River, Q completes everything I beat except 78-89 type hands and the random Q4 he'll call the flop w/. C/f or c/c.

I checked turn w/ the intention of calling any river bet obviously.

I have trouble playing people when I can't narrow their range.

I check the turn and fold the river since you're just chopping with any other A hi. I'd also like to know his WTSD since it's a good indicator as to whether or not he's going to be donking the river with air (unlikely in this spot).

Also, is he going to SD any pair in this spot, or is that part of the uncertainty? If he's not folding any pair or any GS your FE is crap and betting out A hi for value is extremely thin.

You're really only beating J7, J8, and random trash like 54o. His TA is only 1.04 so J9 seems like one of his most likely non-pair hands, which would explain the c/c and river donk. I think you see at least a pair here, maybe something like Q9, T8.

I like your plan and the way you played the hand up til the river. The Q destroys any showdown value you had. Unless he floated you OOP with nothing, you lose. Given the player description, thats certainly possible, but not enough to call in this small pot.
