3-betting KQs in the BB.
 

So Kit and I have a prob bet going about whether or not you would 3-bet KQs in the BB in the following situation.

Donk raises, two donks call, 2p2er calls in the SB, your play in the BB?

I have pokerstoved it and have the results ready, but I want to hear what you guys think before I post the "answer" (I'm sure it depends what I give the raiser and callers.)

Yep. But unless the raiser is a remarkably passive donk, I suspect that it's +EV to 3bet regardless. Definitely if it's suited to spades. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

After a donk raiser and two donk callers, the SB's range is wide enough. Add a vote for "3bet".

I would just call. I hate playing medium strength hands out of position. Depending on the raiser I can see the threebet but my default play would be to call.

Your not giving us enough info. Just saying that they are donks doesnt tell us enough. 2 people can be both be donkeys and play very different from eachother. Against unknowns I would just call but I may be too passive when 3-betting in multiway pots.

so you're the one that 3bet from the BB when kit cc'ed QhJh from the sb?

fwiw, i would 3bet with 4 opponents if a couple or three of them had wide ranges. obv just calling is fine as well.

Clearly this depends on the raisers standards. Most “donks” in the live LL games I play in don’t raise much, so when they do you need to watch out. Given the information here, I would just call.
