What is a good BB/100 hand number?
 
Over 6,500 hands i have a bb/100 hands of 4.2, is this good?

It depends,
I´m assuming this is for NLHE and that you are talking about ptBB.

Anything over 0 would be OK. Any number over 8 means that you are one of the best players at that level IMO. If you beat the level by more than 12 ptBB then you are totally killing it and should move up ASA your bankroll lets you.

The expected win rates even for a 'good' player at a given level go down as the numbers go up.

You can easily beat $10 NL tables for double figure PTBB/100 (on the PLO $1 tables I played as a mock-up of the Jesus Ferguson $1 experiment I had a triple figure PTBB/100 winrate!)

By the time you are on the $400's you would see a PTBB/100 of 4+ as great.

A ptbb is actually two bb's.

So 4ptbb/100 is 8bb/100.

I hear this number thrown around a good bit.

I managed to crush 5nl at 7.5 ptbb/100. 10nl i'm having a 'mare!
