Cut off point for calling 3 bet after having raised a PP

Been looking at this a little and wondered if anyone had done the maths. Situation no doubt everyone is familiar with. Assume a 1 / 2$ No Limit game. You raise a PP first in and everyone folds until someone re-pops you to $25 and you will be heads up in the pot. If it is a blind you will have position otherwise you are also likely OOP. Should you call this raise and set mine or just fold. Does this differ much for 55-TT and TT-QQ where at least with QQ you might have the best hand but by the time you figure out half your stack is in the middle. Obviously the other players type also has a big bearing as well as their position and in some cases you might want to 4bet.

It seems to be these situations with that size of 3 bet are very marginal as you are depending on the other player stacking off and if they have AK and miss you may still be folded off the best hand by a cbet etc.

Anyways interested to hear other peoples thought on this.

Theoretically, fold KK sometimes and call with 22 sometimes.

it depends if you are calling for set value or for hot and cold value.

so, for instance, you can call with QQ purely for set value sometimes, but you need to be a little deep to get the implied odds, wheras you might call with 88, and try to felt it on the flop.

i don't think there is a mathematical answer really, because it depends on the individual player

So the example if nothing else is marginal either way and swayed by the situation?
