Stars FPP\'s

I currently have $75 on Stars and I'm playing .5/.1 6 max NL and the accumulation of FPP's is frustratingly slow. Are there faster ways? SnG's? Limit instead of NL? Full ring?

With your current bankroll, I don't know if it will matter much. You're better off focusing on your game (whichever you want to play) and building your bankroll so you can play higher. I've been playing NL100 FR, and have no problems accumulating enough VPPs to make Silver, even with very few hours per month. When I can actually get the hours in, I've made Gold.

For what it's worth, I never even made Silver when I used to play SNGs for similar hours, with a similar bankroll. I haven't done the math, but bankroll considerations might be in your favor with FRNL vs SNGs. With SNG's, you want to have 100 BuyIns to keep your Risk of Ruin down. Conventional wisdom says 20 BuyIns for FRNL, so you might already be over your head at 10NL. Of course, with SNGs it's more predictable exactly how many FPPs you get with each tourney.

As said, at 0.05/0.10 you should focus on improving your game and bankroll to move up rather than what you can buy with the FPPs. Jumping up in stakes without the proper bankroll and experience will only break you.

It won't be until you get to .50/1NL (100NL) or 1/2 limit when you really start gathering FPPs at a nice rate. SNGs aren't very good for VPPs unless you're at higher stakes and playing turbos.

I have no problem hitting Gold now and hit Platinum once, usually playing .50/1 limit and FR NL, and 1/2 limit, on minimal hours as I have a career and family.

When I was clearing a bonus 4-tabling 1/2 limit, I was rolling in FPPs.

You have to understand that FPP works like rakeback. You're not going to earn more value in FPP than you contribute in rake. The only way to earn FPP at a faster rake is to play more hands at higher limits and contribute more to rake.

Not completely true.

Stars doesnt do partial points, so if you play ALOT of hands at the micros you will more then your rake:points ratio will be alot higher then the guys that are getting points every single hand

to say that he isnt getting points because he isnt contributing enough to rake is technically correct
