Re: Good fold?

Are you good >25% of the time? I did a quick equity analysis and it is awfully close. However, this is a clear fold in my book. Your play is fairly transparent here as missed overcards, thus I'm inclined to think that a solid, thinking player here is value betting you with something like 77-JJ. It looks an awful lot like he is betting with the expectation that you will call with your A high.

A lot of the time these situations really come down to how well your read is on your opponent, and how good you think he is. Also, what is his read on you. If he see's you as weak tight, he might just try to bet you off of A high. At this level though, most just assume you will show down with it.

Re: Good fold?

I'd rather bet/fold the turn than call the river.

It takes a tricksy TAG to raise the turn with a worse hand in this spot.

As played I would call the river the first time. Then I'd start folding.

But I agree with scientist. In a vacuum its prolly not a good call. But you need to signal to other regulars that you dont fold.
