Profanity Filter

I like to consider myself a modern day Shakespeare (barring the times I lose my grasp of Engrish and substitute random spelling errors and other miscues in for other actual words), but I'm constantly trying to bring new words to the modern day language. Take for example if I was trying to explain in OOT a conversation I had with some punk:

"You should un[censored]tify yourself."

Now... I don't intend to circumvent the profanity filter. Instead I merely intend to express myself more openly and with greater color (But not like if I was bleck or green or whatev).

Should the profanity filter keep up with modern usage or is the burden on the individual poster to make sure that his overly expressive language has not overstepped the bounds of the archaic profanity filter?

Well, it depends on the context. So, for example, if you were talking about Absolute Poker's security team, it would be reasonable to call them [censored]monkeys.

Of course, if you're talking about Ryan Beal or Mike Haven (praise be upon them) then nothing but the most glorious epithets would suffice.

I'd also like to be able to talk about homo sapiens without homo being censored. Seriously, there's probably 10 times it's used to refer to humans for every one derogatory use.

There should be a way to opt-out of the filter. Instead of blocking certain words on the poster side, it should block them on the viewer side. Then, you could go to your preferences and select "I would like to view profanity" and the naughty words would be revealed in all their profane glory.

This has come up a few times in discussion. The proposed solution was to just use "homosapiens."
