Basic [censored]: Holding pretty good pair, facing 3-bet PF
 

I hate all my options in these situations.

Early in sessions, no super reads.

I don't like 4-betting PF.

I don't like calling and C/F flop.

I don't like calling and C/R a "safe" flop.

Basically, I'm calling for a set...which sucks too.

meh:

hand 1: i can handle a fold, villain doesnt have a full stack, and calling for set value only kinda sucks.

hand 2: effective stacks are much bigger, but ur OOP. villian is agro however, so i think u can stack him off often enough when u hit ur set. I think i call this one.

Hand 1 is so close between folding and stacking off preflop that it's trivial, I think. Villain is short and has loose-aggressive preflop stats, but is 3-betting from OOP against an UTG+1 raise. It's too close to call.

Hand 2, you're over 150bb deep. Proceed with caution, but please call and take a flop.
