it\'s been a while since I fell for this

5 handed 1/2 I can only assume UTG is terrible as he has just limped utg 5 handed. He's only been at the table like one orbit and I don't remember him doing anything worth remembering.

So he limps UTG, horrible sb completes, I check K7o in bb.

Flop K79 two clubs
check, I bet, raise, fold, I 3bet he 4bet I 5bet he 6bets, I call

Turn 5 putting two diamonds
check check

River 5 of clubs
I c/c right? I've never actually seen someone go this many bets on flush draw flop and take a free card with T8/JT here but c/f seems pretty stupid.

If you lose I wouldn't be shocked if he has AA btw. You forgot the cardinal rule of Commerce poker, if you have AA or can beat it never stop raising the flop.

Mike, you think HM is wrong about that, or that AA/97/some other K makes up enough of the guys 6betting range?

Just because someone open limps doesn't mean they're completely oblivious.

Re: it\'s been a while since I fell for this

I stopped raising the flop because when more than 6 bets go into the pot in a hand where I am not against Mike L, Roc or Crazy Mike then I fear that someone may have a real hand. I'm sure if I posted this as me just calling down if he bet the turn everyone would be like "I don't understand the question" just like when DD looked at me like I was an alien when I 10bet Roc with Q9 on Q95r in position and he happened to have 55 but if Roc had 2 worse pair nobody would even think anything unusual had happened.

my experience against random commerce people is the more bets go in the flop the more likely it is they have nothing.

yea i'm not sure about this and i see you and stinkypete say it (which makes me wonder why?)....

so you think he has AA/AK here basically every time? at what point do you stop raising?

further, if you think he'll limp (and presumably try to lrr) AA, then why not KK? and what is to stop him from thinking "hey, 77 is good, but i'm just gunna call here" ... same with 99...

once 6 bets go in and you raise to 7 and he pops to 8, would you stop then?

at what point do you say, "ok, this horrible player has me beat here and drawing slim"?
