mid pair vs. aggro reg

we're gonna do this one as a play along if you guys are up for it.

villain is a ft100 reg uNDeFeaTaBLE1, got him running at 19/15/4 thru 190 hands for u stat guys, I dont keep pahud up anymore while playing so I didnt have any of those. all I had at the time was I recognized his sn and that I remembered him being aggro. this was early in the session and I'd just sat down the previous orbit so no recent history.

Full Tilt Poker, $0.50/$1 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

SB: $99
BB: $194.10
UTG: $65.10
MP: $77.40
CO: $103.50
Hero (BTN): $137.50

Pre-Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BTN)
3 folds, Hero raises to $3.50, SB folds, BB calls $2.50

Flop: ($7.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $6, BB raises to $18.50, Hero ...???

If youre folding, thats fine but gimme a reason. if youre calling, also fine but why?

about to get a session going but will try to check up on this

Why don't you have PAHUD up? seems weird..

Anyway I'm probably calling because a 19/15s calling range from the blinds is usually 22-TT, some high cards. Of the checkraising range you're beaten by, there's only one combo of 88 left, 222 obviously and maybe AQ. You said he's aggro so I'd expect him to checkraise a wide enough range to call here.

Plus you have a backdoor flush draw

this seems like a super easy fold on a dry flop vs. a villain w/ no recent history

i don't bet the flop 100% fwiw... but i often do

nh now fold, until he gives you a reason to believe he's raising you with air here a lot

I noticed I started to kinda autopilot and base most of my decisions on stats alone rather than focusing on how opponents were actually playing at that time. just felt like it impeded my abilty to adjust and gave me reason to pay less attention than I should. its kinda crazy 8 tabling w/ no stats but its definitely doable.

You'd better have a plan for all three streets if you want to call here.
