Fish like this are usually huge stations once theyve bet that small on the river. Plus your hand looks like air.

You should be scared that villain bluffed all the way and got there with that ace. Unless you have a read (which you don't have) that this is a blocking bet from something like kings or queens, I just call here. Looks like he has you beat, but I can't fold on the river getting 4 to 1. I call here.

calling here is awful, and I don't like raising either. just fold

Calling too much is my biggest leak. I can't fold any pair if I get 4 to 1 on the river. But if you look at it, he only has to bluff one out of five times in order for you to break even. Most villains have at least that big bluff frequency. So I can't really decide if calling here is a leak.

I agree that calling doesn't look good .

You are really only re-raising to $168 otr which is not as bad as some people think . If he gets him to fold a better hand about 50% of the time , then re-raising is neutral EV .

If you put him on pocket 7's and up , a-j+ and k-q , then any pocket pair from 7's to k's may have a hard time calling . There are 7*6=42 pocket pair hands below the ace and 12*3 = 36 ace hands . There are an additional 12 hands that contain a k-q . So if we assume these pocket pairs all fold to your re-raise as well as k-q , then you'd win (42+12)/90=60% which makes the river raise positive EV .
