bbv is this an eating disorder?

it's specific to buffets or free food

pretty much all the time when Im at an all you can eat buffet, I overeat. Im not fat; only 150. normally I eat a typical amount, because food costs money and I dont have $@43242 to spend on food. but when Im at a buffet i just go all out. some times I keep eating til I throw up. usually, if there are portable foods, I take more food home to eat later. for example, once I was at a mothers day brunch buffet at some decent restaurant and I ate until I couldn't anymore. while walking out I quick threw up into a trashcan, trying to make it look casual and nobody notice. when I got home I weighed 6 lbs more than before (remember Im skinny)

reasons why I think I do this- in descending order

1. when I was young my family wasn't very wealthy and my parents were kinda cheap so I would eat a lot to get our moneys worth and not let my mother down.
2. I feel like if I dont try every food they have to offer I am a failure.
3. Im skinny and it's hard to gain weight, which I wouldnt mind.

today I was at a thing where a lot of restaurants around town came and served their food. I wasn't expecting much but when I got there it was basically a buffet of all the family owned restaurants and pizza places and some chains. as I started to eat I was getting light headed, overwhelmed with good food. I didnt even sit down. I ate as I went from table to table. I brought home a bunch of ice cream.

when Im at a place that has free drinks like gatorade, soda, bottled water, i usually take a bunch and put them in a bag to take home. one time I didnt have any bottled water so I went to my uncles house for a party and drank ~6 bottles just because they had a lot and I felt like a hsnl balla drinking as much as I wanted.

does anyone else do this?

so you dont overeat when youre just at home and getting regular dinner?

drizzle why are you idle?

and i dont throw up on purpose, its an accident if it happens. its kinda like a fight with digestion. usually its during dessert, ill be eating ice cream and suddenly feel like puking. so i wait a bit. just for the other food to get settled in. then i can eat more without throwing up. repeat.

Admitting it is the first step to recovery. I knew a girl who was bulimic in middle school and she was really fat so I always used to encourage her by saying "I never saw anyone inhale pudding before" after we'd finish lunch. I saw her a month or so ago and she was still pretty fat though fwiw.
