My favorite OOT post ever.
 

For no reason whatsoever other than it being a lazy Saturday, I'm going to recall my favorite OOT post ever. It was all the way back in January of 07, I read it, I laughed heartily, I've remembered it, and I've recounted it to friends IRL (awkwardly transitioning it to "Me and some friends were talking..." in place of, "I read on this internet message board...", which I'm sure I'm not the first person to ever do) where it was well-received. It was not an epic MS Paint or trip report, it was just a simple, quick, hilarious line that has stuck with me.

I'm going to type it up as a paragraph bc I think it's funnier than just reading the thread:

There was a debate on who would win in a fight between a big mammal, like a lion or a bear, and a velociraptor (a deinonychus dinosaur, like the ones in Jurassic Park). Points were traded back and forth, "well the velociraptor weighs this, but the polar bear can do that...", etc. Until Genz points out that: "Raptors acted in packs, IIRC. A single one of them would never attack a pack of big animals. "

There was the internet equivalent of a pause in conversation, and then Gildwulf responded: "you are right, the whole plausibility of this situation is now thrown into question ".
