shoving seems like the worst possible play

i give up. i played way too much poker tonight and my brain is shot, but why do you think shoving is terrible?

Isn't this KJ/J9 like pretty much all the time? The range of hands you're 2-barreling that board with appears to be pretty strong, like KQdd minimum but weighted more toward 2-pair, set and straight combinations. I bet Villain knows that, and how often is he going to be raising with a worse hand in that spot? Maybe like 1-2%? His turn check-raise means he's got you beat.

Straightforward fold imo.

if you think you're behind you should fold. if you think you're ahead you should call. there is no real scenario in which he has a hand such that you shoving now makes worse hands call or better hands fold, so for every hand in his range either folding or calling is optimal.

I have no idea why you two are playing each other but I think this is a fold vs. Whahaha
