converting video files to burn to DVD?

I was wondering if anyone knew how to convert a video clip to a format i can burn and watch on a dvd . the clip has .DVDRip.Xvid at the end of the file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most DVD players can play DIVX files. Check if yours can. If it can then just burn the file as a data disk.

I've used Nero Vision to convert from Xvid/Divx to DVD a couple of times.
