Thanks guys. How would i know whether to make a continuation bet on the flop, or whether to make a delayed continuation bet on the turn?

HU I pretty much cbet every flop unless it's like superconnected like JsTs9s or something where I have no piece and opponent can easily call with a bunch of made hands/draws. The only times I delay c-bet usually are when there's 2 opponents and flop gets checked and it's checked to me on the turn.

There's no set rule or anything, just instinct/feeling that opponents hit or not.

Good cbet - I will cbet 80% of the time. THE trick is when you DON'T cbet people remember it and will take your next cbet more seriously.

I think this hand sums up exactly why playing the $1 SnG's can be irritating. While you played well, playing "right" just isn't as effective if you are attributing too much skill to your opponents.

I'd observe your opponents and try to judge the likelihood they will fold to a C-bet. A guy seeing 55% of flops probably will not, so you need to be OK with the fact that you only have ace high to proceed.

I used to lose a lot of chips overplaying AK in these games, playing through hands that looked a lot like this.
The only thing that could have made this hand more typical of a $1 game is if you bet 120 PF, and cbet 180. Then they bet 30 on the turn, and 30 on the river. You grudgingly call and they turn over 7s5s or something like that, and you're out 360 chips to some muppet.

A c-bet can take the pot down now.
A c-bet in position lets you see 2 more cards for 1 bet.
A c-bet doesn't tell your opponent if you have AK or AA.

Just because hero lost the hand doesn't mean c-betting was wrong.
