Assuming it were legal to sell your general election vote (no primary nonsense) and that it would take no effort on your part. What is the minimum dollar amount you would accept for your vote from

a) A random US citizen

b) A random member of the human race

c) Someone who's views are diametrically opposed to yours.


Mine is $1 $1 $1 FWIW.

We are at a very important point in our nation's history. A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for freedom and a vote against tyranny. I feel sad for you, that you would let your vote go for $1. I wouldn't take a penny under 5.

Well, assuming it was legal to sell votes, they technically have no democratic value, so at the minimum the going standard rate for a vote + whatever more I can get. Giving a fixed price now seems like poor fiscal planning.

I have to admit I don't think I would have bothered for 1$, even if it was no effort.

That's true. It maybe be no effort to sell your vote, but it's still effort to go vote.. (Though not really for me, I can hit my voting place with a rock from my house)

It's a fairly simple question, I just forgot to say that it would have to be some amount that had actual value to me. From my current economical standpoint I'd say we could start at around 2000$ to consider it, with the standard rate as the minimum if it is above that + whatever I extra can get.
