other card games to play with a group of 6

Heading out of town for a guy's weekend soon with 5 friends and I'm looking for some ideas for some new poker games to play. We'll be trapped in an icehouse for 3 days straight, so there will be a lot of drinking and card playing (with a little fishing mixed in too). We're getting somewhat bored with our standard assortment of Texas Hold'em, In-between, Guts, and 7-card stud. There has got to be a ton of other fun variations out there - any suggestions? We also try to mix in some team cribbage, so any good team games would also be helpful.

There's the obvious triple-draw, badugi, and (maybe) draw poker games.

For non-poker games if you have a deck with 2 jokers you can convert Spades to a 6-player game, give two non-spade suits an extra card (for ease of memory make it diamonds and clubs or hearts, and the joker is below the 2). Play with 2 teams of 3.
If you use two decks of cards Cancellation is a great variant of any trickbased game (like Hearts or Spades) - you lead the 3 of diamonds, I play the King, next guy plays Ace, and somebody else plays the other Ace of Diamonds - the aces cancel out and the King is currently winning. In the unlikely situation of a trick with no valid cards in it, the same player remains on lead and the winner of the next trick wins both. If the last trick of the game has no winner, preferably those cards just aren't counted. If you need all cards to count then have the person who led to that trick win it. If you need everybody to have the same number of cards for a game with two decks and no jokers remove two deuces or all 8 deuces.

Hope some of those suit you.

There is a card game called Yablon amongst other names, you can get info about it at www.pagat.com which is a site devoted to card games.

As for poker variants: I will recommend Count Your Daimonds, it is five stud with whoever has the highest diamond count taking half the pot vs high hand taking the other half. You play it with Ace=14pts, King=13pts, Queen=12pts, Jack=11pts, and the rest at pip value.
