Avoiding Neteller peer-to-peer fees

Hi,

I have a friend who wants to give me 1000 euros but his account is in dollars and mine is in Euros. Using neteller this would cost 1.9% in exchange rate, and then a further 1.9% in transfer fees.

Is there an easy way around this? I would like the money to end up on my neteller account.

Why use Neteller? They're a shower of bastards. Just open up a Moneybookers account.

They have lower FX rates (0.95%) and P2P transfers cost only 0.50 Euro. Plus, Moneybookers is offered at practically all the sites now. Why anyone still uses Neteller is beyond me.
