what would you have done?
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to get a few opinions on this hand as im trying to fix some gaps in my game. To most of you this will probably seem like a "fish" call but we were all at that stage one day. After reviewing the hand i still think i may do the same thing again. I only have 15 hands logged on Poker Tracker for the Villain and at the moment it shows VP$IP at 20.00 What would you guys have done in this situation? Re: what would you have done?
First, I wouldn't play a 40BB stack. Second, I would convert the hand history.
PF you should raise to 5BB. But if you are playing a short stack and flop TP with AK, I think you have to go bust here. Re: what would you have done?
I probably would have ben all in on preflop. Preflop I would have raised to 9. He then probably reraises to 30. I go all in.
If it's not all in pre flop then it's hard to imagine what your ahead of on the flop that will call any bets, much less lead out into you and then call your raise. As played I think you have to realize you're behind on the flop, Assuming your opponent is a rational player, although I'll readily admit folding is goingto be really tough. |
Re: what would you have done?
thanks everyone, thanks for the hand history converter too, ill definately be using that.
yeah i still dont think i played that hand wrong, what do you guys think? overall did i make a bad move? |
Re: what would you have done?
I would raise more pre-flop and would shove the flop. Your raise on the flop took most of your stack and you had just over $23 on the turn when the pot was over $130.
I don't think you could get away from this hand with stack sizes as they were. His pre-flop re-raise means usually JJ+/AK, maybe AQ. On the flop his bet may be a continuation bet and with your hand i would shove. When he calls your re-raise it is likely you are beaten by a full house or possibly quads. On the turn you are pot commited, all you can do is shove. |
