Any good pool players around?

Ive recently started playing a lot of pool at a nearby pool hall and Ive decided to buy a table for my game room. Anyone have suggestions for good tables to look at?

I also need suggestions on what are the good brands for cue sticks. Id like to buy about 6 of them but have no idea what brands have the best quality.

Thanks in advance.

You'll thank me more if you reevaluate this decision. How big is your game room? Unless it's around 25'x 25' then you're gonna hate it.

This man speaks the truth.

As for brand names I can't really give you advice. I will say that finding a really good place to buy the table from makes a big difference though in that they'll take the time to put the slates together well, and actually level it with some time.

It's been a while, but they come in either 3 piece or 2 piece slates right?

I have a 3 piece slate 8 foot Brunswick. Great table that plays well, looks good and has held up nicely.

There is good advice here. Buy from a reputable store that will take care of you + have a big ass room.

best bet is to try and find a pool hall that wants to unload a table. won't be brand new, but the price will be better.
