Hollinger\'s regular season prediction

Win totals on the right:

2. Cavs 54
3. Celtics 51
4. Magic 49
5. Pistons 48
6. Heat 43
7. Hawks 42
8. Bobcats 40
9. Nets 39
9. Raptors 39
11. Knicks 38
12. Bucks 35
13. Wizards 33
14. Pacers 28
15. 76ers 21

1. Rockets 61
2. Spurs 59
3. Mavs 58
4. Suns 54
5. Nuggets 53
6. Jazz 50
7. Lakers 43
8. Hornets 39
9. Warriors 36
10. SuperSonics 35
11. Grizzlies 34
12. Kings 27
13. Blazers 26
14. Timberwolves 22
15. Clippers 20

Come on Hollinger, pay attention! 76ers don't tank, so we might not be in last in the East.

A few other Whoa's! Hawks & Bobcats, over Raptors & Wizards. Rockets at #1?! Sonics w/ 35 wins after losing Allen & Lewis? The good ol' days are back with the Clippers at the bottom, haha.

LOL at Cavs finishing better than Boston. If the Clips don't finish at the bottom wit Brand out all year I will be really surprised. I think Mavs will top the west again.

Re: Hollinger\'s regular season prediction

Sonics WAY too high. They're arguably the least talented team in the NBA, and they play in a far superior conference. The East predictions are vaguely defensible (though I agree 76ers too low)...but the West? C'mon...Steve Francis/Mike James are hardly going to improve Houston to the best in the West. Chock up McGrady for some back problems, Yao for some big man problems, and the Rockets for 45-50 wins.

Of course, when your entering argument is Holliger, you're bound to have some rubbish in the results.

Am I really going to buy League Pass so I can watch the Pacers this year? Kill me. O/U on # of times I'll have to remind myself that the Colts won a Super Bowl: 326.

I agree with a lot of those predictions, like Magic and Bobcats doing well in the East, Sonics being surprisingly decent, and Warriors being a big disappointment. Only ones that look way off to me are Raptors and Rockets. Does Hollinger have some stats that suggest that Toronto was worse than their record last year? As for Houston, meh, I'll believe it when I see it.

Magic above Pistons, which 50124391254181581325734261 trades did I miss today?

Dude - Rashard Lewis is a superstar franchise player. His contract says so!

Re: Hollinger\'s regular season prediction

so Mike James is gonna put the Rockets from 5th in the West to 1st? And the Suns, with technically their best lineup to-date, is going to win the same amount of games as the gimp 05-06 squad?
