MacBooks and adding a monitor

I read the FAQ and I still am unsure. I apologise is this has been answered before.

I own a MacBook which I run Boot Camp for windows through. I want to have a better monitor however and I have been looking at options.

If I buy the 30' Dell, can I hook that up to my laptop immediately, or do I need cables, leads, etc?

Any help uis appreciated.

Re: MacBooks and adding a monitor

The new MBP support the Apple 30" monitor, which is dual-link so they should support any other 30" dual-link monitor. I'm not sure what hoops you'll have to jump through to get it set up when Windows is running, when OSX is running it should just be a matter of plugging it in.
