Pondering a move up...

Assuming that you've been a .68 BB/100 winner at 3/6 over 151,936 hands (since 1/8/2007), are a Supernova on Stars, and have six months of living expenses saved as backup, what is the minimum amount of money that you would have to have in your bankroll before deciding to move up to 5/10?

Also, I play full-time, and live off of what I earn...

Total cash = $13000
Monthly nut = $1250

Also, strictly 2-tabling. I have been 3-tabling 3/6.

why do you have to "move up" all at once? If you start by 3-tabling 3/6 and 1-tabling 5/10 then you are only playing 3.5/7, right?

fwiw i play in bigger games only when they are much better than my current limit, i have been playing and running well recently, and I feel like I am a decent-sized winner at my current limit. Given your solid results, I bet these things apply at least a few hours during the week for you, brassmonkey.

have you been data mining the limits above you yet??? I would think you would want to get an idea of whose who before you just jump up into a higher game...

"Also, strictly 2-tabling."

i would not play 5/10 for a living if my postrake winrate 2-tabling were ~0.5bb/100.

for real ppl, instead of "moving up"

get a jobbie job. playing poker for a living at 5=10 is teh suck.

no benefits, you sit in front of a screen for 50 hours a week. And, you get to contemplate suicide about every 4 minutes.

but really, just move up

Where Brass lives, playing 5/10 is like us playing 50/100...

Yea, Bangkok's wicked cheap (see monthly nut). I quit a jobby job in D.C. to do this, and my life is WAYYY better.
