Best way to learn a language part-time?

I want to learn either spanish or german part-time but im unsure whether to a part-time college course, home learning college course or even just a course off the internet i.e linguaphone.com is the best idea.

Has anybody ever done this? What is going to get me semi-fluent speaking/listening/reading/writing the quickest do you imagine?

Any other thought?

Cheers,

Matt.

Spanish is easy.

I'm Puerto Rican.

But seriously, it is pretty easy. Just buy a book at a bookstore on it and study up and watch Univision to listen as u learn?

I really liked the Pimsleur series of language tapes, but they're insanely expensive. My library in the States, has them so maybe you can find one that does also. They don't just say words and have you repeat. You learn phrases and are constantly asked to use them in a new context or recall words from several lessons ago. I think that they work well because youre brain is forced to think about the material and that aids comprehension.

Find an avenue for learning it, whether it be books, classes or private lessons, and then find opportunities to speak it.

Also learn Spanish, cause all germans speak engrish.
