any suggestions? its gotta be compatible w/ a 30" dell monitor, im willing to spend 1k to 2k probably

u people are fools for spending anything over 300$ total. if u can't find it, you suck at life and shouldn't be considered computer users.

A little harsh, considering you don't know what he'll be using it for. If you still think a $300 computer would work for all purposes, you're probably the one who sucks at life.

Good luck getting locks up and what not, when running 12 tables PT+Pahud, itunes and checking your mail.

If you would have said more then $1000 (if your not into gaming that is), then I would have agreed.

I spent 2k on my desktop and its worth every penny.

if you build it yourself you can make an outstanding system for 12 tabling hud and what not for well under 1k. 1k could get you a just awsome one with a very good video card near top line everything.

Store bought i would spend between 1-2k.

Dell systems are fairly nice and can be well custamized this is where i would look to start.

If you go on tigerdirect.com, they have refurbished PCs from Dell, IBM, and HPs. They are fully loaded with XP installed and they can be a perfect poker only desktop that runs around $200-300. Good deal for people needing a desktop.
