25nl; SS b/3b against TT

$0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Villan is 40/16/.83(50). He is SS after I popped him with a better 2p about 10 hands ago. Consequently he's gone all in several times in the last 10 hands. Excluding the possible tilt aspect, I've tried to look at this hand in terms of hand ranges (very new to me).

If I'm to put him on AJ+ and AA-JJ. I have around 47% equity on his range which makes a fold -EV on what is effectively a pot sized raise.

Am I looking at this the right way? What if his stack were twice as tall?

UTG ($6.87)
MP ($30.47)
CO ($4.75)
Button ($28.81)
Hero ($36.83)
BB ($23.60)

Preflop: Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $0.35.
UTG raises to $0.5, 3 folds, Hero raises to $2, 1 fold, UTG raises to $6.25, Hero ????

I've only just started thinking about hand ranges myself but FWIW I think this range for him is fine.
UTG raises are usually tight but if he's pushed a few times already then AJ+ & AA-JJ might be too conversative. But as you said it's EV+ to call even if this is his range (I've not checked your math but it sounds right).
I'd defo call here.

Then I suspose it depends whether you think his range would change.

How do you get 47%?

Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 56.289% 56.09% 00.20% 414914508 1462626.00 { JJ+, AJs+, AJo+ }
Hand 1: 43.711% 43.51% 00.20% 321875568 1462626.00 { TT }

Anyway (with 100BB's) at this level I think a 4bet especially one from the UTG player versus a 3bet from the blinds generally has a range more like KK,AA. Maybe QQ-AA,AK at the loosest.

I think this is a very easy fold with 100BB's. Here however he is very short and you are getting like 1.9 to 1 so you can call even against a QQ+,AK range:

Hand 1: 36.413% 36.21% 00.20% 126502032 693396.00 { TT }

So with the stacks as they are easy call.

I've seen guys go with Q7 here. Easy call, chalk it up to bbv this time.
